MoU signed with Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Services and Navigation of Spain

Mr Mohamed Raeid, Chairman of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, attended the official meeting held today, June 3, 2021, in the Libyan capital Tripoli, under the supervision of the National Unity Government Prime Minister Mr Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, on the occasion of the visit of the Spanish Prime Minister Mr Pedro Sanchez to Libya, who was accompanied by a delegation that included Ms Inmaculada Riera, Managing Director of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Services and Navigation of Spain, and Mr Adolfo Díaz-Ambrona Medrano, Secretary General of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce. The meeting concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two chambers, aiming at establishing a comprehensive framework for joint cooperation.

During the meeting, Raeid expressed his hope to further strengthen the Spanish-Libyan partnership, stressing the importance of exchanging information and expertise, promoting investment between the two countries, enhancing cooperation in the field of training, and increasing trade turnover.

Ms Riera affirmed that the Spanish Chamber of Commerce is ready to cooperate extensively with the Libyan General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, to organize exhibitions and trade missions and intensify business visits, in addition to organizing training workshops in many commercial and economic fields.
