I thank His Excellency the Italian Ambassador to Libya, Mr Giuseppe Buccino, for his attention to Italian-Libyan relations and his visit to the headquarters of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, where I met today with him and an accompanying delegation in the presence of representatives of the Italian-Libyan Joint Chamber.
During the meeting, we discussed the prospects of Libyan-Italian economic cooperation, trade relations between the two countries, the highway project, visa facilitation, the opening of airlines, the continuation of meetings and the planning of visits between the two countries.
Mr Buccino expressed his pleasure to visit the Union and commended on the important role it plays in supporting economic and commercial relations between the two countries.
